The Anti-Gliadin IgG (AGA IgG) Test is a specialized blood test offered by Augmentum Diagnostics to detect Immunoglobulin G (IgG) antibodies that react against gliadin, a protein component of gluten found in wheat, barley, and rye.
This test is used as a screening tool in the initial diagnosis of Celiac Disease (CD) and is particularly useful in patients who have a deficiency in IgA antibodies, but its role has been largely replaced by more specific Celiac markers.
