Are You Immune to Hepatitis A?
The Hepatitis A IgG Test (also known as Anti-HAV IgG) is a blood test that checks for long-term immunity against the Hepatitis A virus.
Unlike other viral tests that check if you are currently sick, this test looks for the "memory" antibodies your immune system creates after you have recovered from the virus or after you have been successfully vaccinated.
In short: This test answers the question, "Am I protected against catching Hepatitis A in the future?"
