The Filariasis Antigen Test is a highly specific blood test used for the diagnosis of Lymphatic Filariasis (commonly known as elephantiasis), a parasitic disease caused by filarial worms, primarily Wuchereria bancrofti and Brugia malayi.
This test specifically detects the presence of Circulating Filarial Antigens (CFA)—proteins released by adult filarial worms living in the lymphatic system. The detection of these antigens confirms an active infection with the adult parasites.
At Augmentum Diagnostics, an NABL-accredited lab in Delhi, we provide reliable Filariasis Antigen testing, which is a key component of surveillance and diagnosis in endemic areas.
