H. pylori is a bacteria that colonizes the stomach and is the leading cause of chronic gastritis and peptic ulcer disease. The Stool Antigen Test is considered one of the preferred non-invasive methods for diagnosing an active infection and, crucially, for confirming that the bacteria have been successfully eliminated after treatment (test of cure).
