The Helicobacter pylori (H. pylori) IgG Antibody Test is a serological blood test used to detect the IgG class of antibodies produced by the body in response to the H. pylori bacteria. H. pylori is a major cause of chronic gastritis, peptic ulcers, and certain gastric cancers.
$\text{IgG}$ antibodies are produced later in the infection and are known as "memory" antibodies. They can remain detectable in the blood for months or years after initial exposure, even if the bacteria have been successfully eradicated.
At Augmentum Diagnostics, an NABL Accredited Lab in Delhi, including our location near Dwarka, we provide accurate serology testing to determine past or present exposure to H. pylori.
